We read every submission. Here's what we look for and how the process works.
What we look for
- • A distinct, confident voice and a clear sense of audience.
- • Polished, completed manuscripts (or substantial samples for nonfiction).
- • Original work you own the rights to, in English.
- • Books that fit our list: literary fiction, memoir, narrative nonfiction, poetry, short fiction.
Guidelines
- • Include a 1-paragraph synopsis and short bio in your message.
- • Fiction: completed manuscripts only. Nonfiction: proposal + sample chapters.
- • Simultaneous submissions are welcome — please tell us.
- • Response time is typically 6–10 weeks.
